In addition to the Trolltech Online Documentation, which includes links to API docs as well as articles and documentation for related Qt products, there are many online resources available to you. Here are a few.

  1. The The Qt Interest Mailing List provides a developer community and searchable archives. Searching on a class you are trying to use, or an error message you do not understand, will often give you useful results.

  2. QtCentre is a Web-based online community site devoted to C++ programming using Qt. It puts you in touch with people all over the planet who use Qt and help one another out. There are numerous forums, projects and FAQ. This site is constantly monitored by key Qt developers who often participate in forum discussions, make announcements, and give useful advice.

  3. Alan has a series of videos on YouTube that discuss design patterns and programming in C++/Qt.

  4. Search for “qt programming” on YouTube and you will also find other interesting videos.

  5. If you encounter a seemingly intractable error with an error message that is not too long, try pasting it into Google.
